Kate’s Boys

Kate's Boys

This image and description of my grandfather Edgar and his four brothers comes from cousin Katherine Misegades of Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter of my great uncle Harold Misegades, the cute fellow on the far left. “This picture was taken a very short time before Henry drowned in 1915 at a Sunday School picnic. From left to right Harold, Henry, Ed, Gene, Roy. It was taken in Peru, KS. They moved to Danville, IL after San Francisco. Uncle Harold was born there in ’08 and they moved to Peru in 1910, before Uncle Roy was born in 1911. If they  lived in Alton, IL after San Francisco I didn’t know it but it is possible.”

My only uncle, Dean Misegades, and my father, Paul Arthur Misegades (PAM), taken, I’d guess around 1933-1934 when my father would have been 3-4. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on January 22nd, 1931, and passed away on May 30th, 2003 in Southern Pines, NC. Dean passed away on April 1st, 2012. They are the sons of Edgar Louis and Lavonne Misegades. Edgar, my grandfather, was the eldest of five sons of Louis and Katherine ‘Kate’ Misegades, and was born in 1901.
